The Introduction

This wedding was absolutely incredible, full of love, and centred around community and family. The venue is only a short drive from Edmonton, located in Spruce Grove. This is ideal because it allows you and your guests to be secluded in the beautiful space that Sparrow Lane has provided. As you drive into the venue space, you are presented with a flowing fountain that stands directly in front of the their main building. Sparrow Lane became operational in 2021 and has all of the modern needs for brides, intentionally crafted for the perfect wedding.

The Interior Design

The Sparrow Lane building interior has a lovely bridal suite for “getting ready” and a quick getaway from the party, if needed! One of the most important aspects of choosing your wedding venue is whether it has “getting ready” spaces for the groom and the bride— the ability to stay on-site all day helps with planning efficiency and the schedules of all your vendors. It ensures that the day can run as smoothly as possible. As you head further into the venue, there are luxurious bathrooms directly at the entrance for simple access. The main hall is complimented by neutral white walls, plenty of natural light, sparkling chandeliers, and a center fireplace. The decor is provided by venue and offers an elegant, romantic , and luxury theme. It is perfect for cohesive and seamless days.

The Ceremony Space

If you continue to the outdoors, you will find lush trail that leads directly to their ceremony space. The area is spacious and can easily fit a medium (100 – 150) guest count. The venue provides romantic white chairs, a selection of arbours, and complimentary ceremony decor. As a side benefit, the venue also handles set-up and tear down of the space.

The Wedding of Megan + Adam

This was such a special day— Megan and Adam first booked this venue before the foundation was ever constructed on the ground. They trusted the vision, design, and felt that it fit their day perfectly. On the morning of the wedding, the bride and bridesmaids got ready at the bridal suite, while the gentlemen prepared off-site. The mothers helped set-up and add the decorations across the ballroom. It was beautiful, sentimental, and reflected their love story and all the years building up to this moment.

Once everyone was ready, Megan and Adam shared an intimate first look on a pathway next to the ceremony space. They could not believe how stunning they both looked! It was fitting to begin the morning with some beautiful photography among the greenery. We all proceeded down a separate path to ‘hide’ until the ceremony started. All of the guests began to arriving, hugging, and visiting with new and old friends.

Megan and Adam shared a heartfelt ceremony. Every tradition of the ceremony was intentional and it was officiated by a close relative. They both shared tearful vows and honoured one another at each instance. For the rest of the afternoon, the bridal party spent time capturing their friendships and happiness in photos. It was incredibly special to capture memories of everyone together while they celebrated the newly-weds.

The reception kicked-off with a grand entrance that followed into a celebratory champagne pop! The speeches, however, were the proper celebration of the night. Alongside many of their closest family and friends, Megan and Adam were able to give sentimental ‘thank you’ speeches to everyone that had helped them in the course of their relationship. Despite tears and hugs, the reception ended in a great party in honour of this new adventure.
